Red Bull invites Blue Steel to Bondi for Straya Day
By Gavin Lawrence
When Red Bull told Blue Steel Photo and Video Booths their plans for Australia Day, it took seconds to work out that a quintessential Australian themed video booth would work on so many levels. It will provide live interactive entertainment for the guests and social media engagement that can be posted and shared immediately, as well as for generations to enjoy too.
Although we can’t disclose exactly what will happen in the booth just yet, we can assure you that it will be Australian as, “that’s going straight to the pool room”. The concept devised by Blue Steel will be a world first, something that is not new us.
The best thing about this activation is that anyone can be a star. You don’t need to be ridiculously good at an extreme sport or risk your life to join in. The open air video booth will be located at Beach Road on Bondi Beach, famous for their Australia Day parties.
Some equations are fundamentally so basic but just work perfectly. And you don’t have to be Einstein to work out that Red Bull + Blue Steel x Bondi = Straya Day is an epic formula.
Post event, the “best of” vids will be collated into something that Red Bull will hopefully share to their 48 million Facebook followers. No pressure but one thing’s for sure, we’ll stamp our signature style on it.
We damn near shed true tears of joy when Red Bull initially told us, “your website is amazing”, and we can’t wait to work with them for the first time, showing our next level video and social media method in action.
If you’re lucky enough to get a ticket to the event, you won’t want to miss out on experiencing and being part of something historic. Locals and tourists in the great southern land, get your bikinis or boardies ready, brace yourselves because this Straya Day bash is going to be bloody awesome!
